On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Golf, Volkswagen is honoring Europe's most successful model with an exclusive special exhibition in Lucerne. Since production began on March 29, 1974, at the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg, over 37 million Golf models have been sold worldwide. In Switzerland, more than 677,000 units of the bestseller have been sold since its launch in the spring of 1974, making it the undisputed leader. The Golf has been the best-selling car in Switzerland a total of 41 times in the last 50 years.
A visit to the Golf special exhibition at the AMAG AG Booth 411 in Hall 4 is not only worthwhile for Golf Classic fans. In addition to the oldest orange model from 1974, the latest Golf of the eighth generation will also be presented as a Swiss premiere. Other highlights include a red Golf I GTI from 1976, a Golf I Cabriolet, a powerful Rally Golf II G60 Syncro, and a Golf III GTI 16V. The Golf IV from 2000 completes the quartet of Classic generations.
