…190 classic cars on September 8th in Schaffhausen!
On Sunday, September 8th, the second "Rendezvous am kleinen Klausen" will take place in the canton of Schaffhausen. 190 classic cars, 30 vintage motorcycles, and 25 historic postal buses will bring the former Opfertshofen hill climb race back to life. For once, they will be allowed to drive faster than the speed limit on the first one-kilometre stretch of the original race route from the Reiatschulhaus to Opfertshofen.
The surrounding villages of Altdorf, Bibern, and Opfertshofen will transform into a driving camp, turning into an open-air museum for classic cars. QR codes on the vehicles will link to our new VIDI app, where additional information about each classic car can be found.
These hotspots are connected by historic postal buses in the style of the "Hop on, Hop off" red tourist buses of London and Paris. With a ticket, spectators can hop on and off as often as they like. As a special highlight, the section from Bibern to Opfertshofen is marked as a mountain postal route. This allows the postal buses to sound their legendary "DüDaDo" horn, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. At the starting area, the TCS play paradise awaits the children, and in the finish area, the young ones can get a taste of motocross.
