On June 29, 2024, Mr. Paul Berger passed away at the age of 81 after a long illness. Paul Berger was closely associated with Peter Monteverdi and significantly influenced Swiss automotive history. As a loyal companion and long-time employee of Peter Monteverdi, he was an essential part of Monteverdi Automobile AG for nearly four decades. Until Monteverdi's death in 1998, the two worked side by side. Afterwards, Paul Berger took over the management of the company and the museum in Binningen. He was an honorary member of the MONTEVERDI Club, co-founder of Automobile Monteverdi AG Binningen, honorary president of the Peter Monteverdi Automobilbau Foundation, and an honorary member of the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
In November 2022, we honoured Paul Berger with the SWISS CLASSIC LIFETIME AWARD at the Swiss Museum of Transport (Verkehrshaus der Schweiz) for his lifetime achievements. It was a great honour for us to present this award to Paul. Paul Berger was an impressive personality and a tireless supporter of Swiss automotive history. His passionate commitment and dedication to Monteverdi vehicles will always be remembered. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Paul Berger.
