Challenge of finding staff for classic car garages

A central issue currently facing many classic car garages is the scarcity of specialized mechanics and bodywork experts who can repair, maintain, and restore these vehicles. Finding such professionals is often a significant challenge for many workshops. This is evident from the numerous job postings communicated through various media in the classic car scene, as well as inquiries that are frequently brought to us from our network.

FRANKS Originale is looking for specialists

An example of this is the current recruitment by FRANKS Originale in Kriens: Their 10-member team is currently seeking personnel in the areas of automotive mechanics and bodywork. The team, led by Frank Lutz in Kriens near Lucerne, has been offering comprehensive services for the Swiss classic car market since 2010. The focus is on European automobiles from the entire 20th century. In addition to classic trading and vehicle expertise, the company employs 10 specialists in the areas of restoration and repair, bodywork, maintenance, care, and storage of historic automobiles and motorcycles. More information about the open positions for classic car specialists can be found here:

An important contribution in this crucial area for the classic car scene is also made by the "Interessengemeinschaft Fahrzeugrestaurator" (IGF): They offer courses to prepare for the professional examination for vehicle restorers with a federal diploma in three possible specializations.
